Jurchen Technology supplies cable systems for solar projects in France


Helmstadt, Germany – At the start of the year, Jurchen Technology secured new contracts for producing and supplying cable systems. The cables will be used in French solar projects with a total capacity of around 28 MW in the Dordogne and Guadeloupe Départements. Jurchen Technology supplies ArCon series harness cables, which are particularly weather-resistant due to a vulcanization process for the cable joints. The JT-ArCon system was awarded TÜV certification for solar farms with 1,000 and 1,500 Volts DC.


“France is an important market for us. So, I am absolutely delighted that we were able to secure new contracts with a six-figure sales volume in this very competitive market at the turn of the year, giving us an early boost for 2020”, explains Managing Director Michael Jurchen. “Quality of the material and our workmanship are always top priorities for us so that we can guarantee the long-term reliability of our products. No other cabling system is more resistant to water and moisture than our ArCon series, which is manufactured in Germany. Therefore, this cabling system is ideally suited for the construction of floating PV power plants, among other areas of use.”


“In France, we have already equipped solar projects with an overall installed capacity of approximately 350 MW with components for the substructure as well as cable systems and we are expecting more orders for 2020”, says Christophe Heriau, Sales Manager France at Jurchen Technology. “Our cable systems are in demand, in France and the rest of the world. Outside of Europe, they were used in Israel, Australia, and Japan last year.”


Jurchen Technology is the only company in the market that supplies both mechanical substructure components as well as the DC cabling needed to operate the plant. The system components are manufactured in Helmstadt in Bavaria. In addition, Jurchen Technology operates a production facility in Mumbai (Boisar), in India, in order to cover global demand.
